''Making Life Rhyme'' is a studio album by Scottish singer Lulu, released April 13th 2015 as a digital download and as a CD.〔()〕 It was released on her first ever record label Decca and is the first album of Lulu's career, in which she co-wrote most of the songs.〔()〕 One of the two exceptions is Jimi Hendrix's "Angel", which is done in the style of Rod Stewart's hit cover. ''Making Life Rhyme'' is Lulu's first album in ten years: the album also contains Lulu's interpretation of the ""Wayfaring Stranger". The single, ''Faith in You'' was released before the album, and Lulu performed the song live on such TV programmes as BBC One's ''The One Show''.〔()〕 To promote this landmark release, Lulu embarked on her first solo UK and Ireland tour in over ten years.〔()〕 ==Critical reception== 'Making Life Rhyme' has generally received positive reviews in newspaper and magazine publications. ''The Telegraph'' newspaper gave the album a four star rating, and reviewer Neil McCormick wrote "Making Life Rhyme is the best thing Lulu has done since the early Seventies".〔()〕 ''The Guardian'' newspaper gave the album a three star rating, adding: "There’s little in the way of surprises but this is a solidly enjoyable collection.".〔()〕 In ''The Daily Mail'', the newspaper also gave the album a three star rating, and critic Andrew Thrills concluded: "Now, in her seventh decade, she might just have made the most complete album of her career.".〔()〕 The website AllMusic praised the album, giving it a four star review, and the critic Stephen Thomas Erlewine wrote: "Arriving ten years after Lulu's impressive 2004 comeback Back on Track, 2015's Making Life Rhyme is every bit that record's equal and perhaps it's better in some ways."
